Karanataka has got its first Indian Institute of Technology in Dharwad which scored over other cities in the state. The new IIT might start classes in 2016 at a transit campus states a report in The Hindu.

A 49 years old Civil engineer with over 27 years experience in Banking, mortgages and real estate fields while working for reputed organisations like ICICI Bank, DHFL group and Brigade Group. His last assignment in ICICI Bank was that of Deputy General Manager and Business Head of Mortgage Valuations group while earlier he handled responsibilities such as Business Head in mortgages and Retail Property services, at State, Zone and National levels. The last assignment in DHFL group was Business Head for DHFL Property Services and earlier handled responsibilities in mortgages at Branch and Regional. In his last corporate assignment, he was Chief Operating Officer of Tandem Allied Services, an associate of Brigade group.
